Business Development / Sales Desk Associate – Life Division

Job Summary:  The Business Development Associate will drive sales and build strong relationships with producers to promote growth. Primary role is to proactively call on existing producers. This position will have constant communication with all members of the Life Team to develop and implement marketing campaigns, sales ideas, recruiting and retention initiatives. As an integral part of the sales team the Business Development Associate participates in sales training and carrier meetings.   

Primary Responsibilities and Job Functions

  1. Prospect and profile existing producers to generate additional sales by phone, email marketing campaigns and develop stronger relationships

  2. Develop new business with new producers via marketing campaigns (VIVE, Term Conversions, Policy Review etc.…) to maximize additional growth

  3. Successfully build relationships with key producers to discuss sales concepts and product information that will help them grow their business

  4. Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge

  5. Analyze and prepare life insurance illustrations requested by producers along with internal sales teams

  6. Make recommendations on appropriate products and concepts based on client needs

  7. Maintains in-depth knowledge of life products and software systems for case design, analysis and presentation

  8. Maintain and manage workload in CRM. Prepare and track daily activity reports in CRM

  9. Required to communicate effectively with customers

  10. Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
